Band camp wouldn’t be band camp at Purdue without Roy Johson’s slide program on the history and traditions of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band.

Roy Johnson, long-time announcer for the marching band, has been presenting the program – now available on video – for more than 40 years. The DVD presentation, “Purdue University Bands: Celebrating 125 Years,” traces the history of the Purdue bands from their beginning in 1886 to the present, including the directors, the travels the band members have undertaken throughout the world as musical ambassadors for Purdue University, and the many traditions that make the “All-American” Band so unique and unlike any other in the country.
