Suggest Jackson Tribute songs on Facebook

The Purdue “All-American” Marching Band has scrapped its halftime show plans for the Sept. 5 season-opener against Toledo and will present a tribute to Michael Jackson. Director Jay Gephart says one tune is a shoe-in - that’s “Thriller.” If Purdue fans want to weigh in on other Jackson hits they’d like to hear, they can do so by becoming a fan of Purdue Bands & Orchestras on Facebook and commenting on that question. The band last presented a Michael Jackson show in 2002. It was so popular, the band repeated it when they followed the Boilermakers to Notre Dame and also performed the show at the bowl game following that season.
