Make music with Purdue Summer Band starting June 16Wednesday, May 27, 2009
The band, which plays a program of light classics and Broadway on July 16 at Slayter Center, meets twice a week for a month prior to the concert. It is open to Purdue students, high school students, university faculty and staff and area musicians. No auditions are necessary.
Rehearsals will be held in Elliott Hall of Music on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. beginning June. 16. Those needing an instrument can check one out from the Bands’ Supply Office prior to the first rehearsal.
Purdue students wishing to obtain credit for their participation can receive two hours of credit by enrolling in either Band 330 or Band 340. All participants should download the attached form and fill it out. The form should then be returned to the Band Office or brought to the first rehearsal.
