Drum majors return; numerous new student leaders

Drum majors for the 2009 Purdue “All-American” Band’s marching season have familiar faces but there are lots of new student leaders. Kenny Eneboe of San Jose, CA, and Rich Marzullo of Stamford, CN, who led the band as drum majors in 2008 will be back in same roles in 2009. They were chosen in auditions conducted on May 1.

Nine of the 11 instrument sections will be under new leadership in the coming season, as well as the Golduster Dance Team and the Big Ten Flags. In competitions held earlier, Golden Girl MerrieBeth Cox and Silver Twins Sara and Chellie Zou were returned to their respective positions. A new Girl in Black was selected, Meg Merdian of Troy, MI.
