Alumni Band is a ‘go’ for 90th Indy 500

The response was terrific and the verdict is an enthusiastic thumbs-up to the Alumni Band’s participation in the 2009 Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade and Race.  We had over 200 “gung-ho” alumni express an interest in marching down the streets of Indy and strutting around the track “just one more time.”

The alumni band will march in both the parade on Saturday, May 23, and the race on Sunday, May 24. On Race day the alumni band will participate as one of the “Parade of Bands” units which march around the oval.  Race tickets are included.  After the parade and on race day, you will have plenty of time to socialize and enjoy another wonderful alumni band reunion sponsored by the Purdue Band and Orchestra Alumni Club.
