Twirlers, Dancers open dress rehearsal to public

Purdue’s Golduster Dance Team and the Purdue Twirlers, including newly named Golden Girl Tierney Brown, will open their competition dress rehearsal to the public on Sunday, Feb. 10.

The event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday on the track in Lambert Fieldhouse. Admission is free.

The dancers and twirlers are preparing for a Florida trip that includes both competitions and performances at Walt Disney World, Downtown Disney and the Wide World of Sports Complex. The group leaves on Friday, Feb. 15 and returns on Monday, Feb. 18.

Auxiliaries Director Alisha Kuckartz says the performers will be in full costume for the Feb. 10 public rehearsal. The two groups will go through their entire show at 4 p.m., then work on polishing problem areas and run the whole program again. The public is invited to come and stay as long as they want.
