On-line auction brings in $3,000 for drill field shed
Thursday, November 1, 2007
Thanks to all those alums and band friends who placed bids on band nostalgia during the Tau Beta Sigma On-line Auction which ended at Homecoming.
The group will clear more than $3,000 once auctions expenses are reconciled. “We are excited with the results we have seen and look forward to a large, well designed shed for the marching band equipment,” says co-organizer Brad Prugar. The money will be used to build a storage facility by the Band’s new drill field, to be constructed in the summer of 2008.
The Big Bass Drum head brought the event’s top bid at $1,500. Old uniforms and gift baskets also brought generous contributions. “Thanks again for bidding on pieces of Purdue Band History,” Prugar says.
