Meet & greet with Dr. France Córdova - Purdue's new president

On May 7, Purdue Bands' faculty and staff were among hundreds who flooded Loeb Playhouse to hear Purdue's new president, Dr. France Córdova, approved by the Purdue Board of Trustees and introduced to the campus for the first time.

 

At a reception following the event Director Jay Gephart and Orchestra concertmaster Carlos Kemeny greeted her personally on behalf of the department and were very impressed.

 

"Dr. Córdova will be a tremendous asset to Purdue University because her top priority is students," Gephart says.

 

"This resonates with members of our faculty and staff because our focus in Purdue Bands is the student experience. With the announcement of her appointment, Purdue's future is very bright indeed.  I can't wait to introduce France Córdova to the wonderful band program at Purdue."
