Alumni Concert, Jazz & Orchestra reunions in April

Dust off your horns. Alumni bands for both jazz and concert ensembles are planned for the Purdue Bands Showcase weekend, April 20-22.

Registration forms are already in the mail but you can print out another here or submit your registration electronically here. The recently retired Bill Kisinger will conduct the Alumni Jazz Band with Dr. Mo Trout at “Jazz on the Hill” on Friday, April 20. Kisinger will join Dr. Al Wright in conducting the Alumni Concert Band on Sunday, April 22.

Orchestra string players interested in returning for the weekend will be encouraged to sit in and play with the orchestra, if they desire, on the April 22 program.

As part of the busy weekend, a reception organized by the Purdue Band & Orchestra Alumni Club, will be held at the Wrights’ Sousa House, 6th and New York Sts., Lafayette, on Saturday from 4:30 to 7 pm.
