Bowl-bound Boilers and Band heading to Orlando

For the ninth time in 10 years, the Purdue Boilermaker football team and the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, are bowl bound. Purdue will be the first Big 10 team to compete in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, FL, on Dec. 29.

Band travel plans are currently being negotiated. The band will leave either Dec. 26 or 27, and may possibly stay after the bowl to participate in the Orlando Citrus Parade on Dec. 30. All that is known for certain is that the band travel party will be housed at the Barcelo Orlando Hotel (888-380-9696) and that they will participate in a pep session at Universal Studios on Dec. 28.
