Nemeth and Linker named drum majors for 2005-06 Nemeth, a junior majoring in materials science and engineering, came out of the clarinet ranks and served as clarinet section leader in 2004. Linker, a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering, marched in the piccolo section. The two will begin their duties during Band Camp in August. Two former high school drum majors - R.J. Nemeth of Cincinnati, OH, and Melissa Linker of Waterloo, IL, - topped stiff competition on April 29 to be named drum majors of the 2005-06 Purdue “All-American” Marching Band.
