Purdue musicians perform chamber music on Dec. 2Purdue’s top classical musicians offer an evening of chamber music on Thursday, Dec. 2 in Fowler Hall of the Purdue Stewart Center. The recital, sponsored by Purdue University Bands, begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Works by Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn top the program which features string, brass and woodwind ensembles. Highlights of the program include the Cavi String Quartet’s performance of Beethoven’s “Quartet in c minor” and the PSO Horn Quartet performance of Lowell Shaw’s “Fipperies.” The students are coached by Jay S. Gephart and Amy Brandfonbrenner. |
