DARREN WILLIAMS, Purdue Bands Graduate Assistant, is a 2009 graduate of Butler University with a B.M. in Music Education.  At Butler he studied trombone under Jared Rodin.  In his four years at Butler, he played in several ensembles.  Williams is also a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Service Fraternity.  For the summers of 2007 and 2008, he was a member of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps of La Crosse, WI, which placed 14th and 8th respectively in the world.  Williams spent this past summer teaching the Kokomo High School marching band which is a partner school this year for the Purdue University Bands.
