DR.
DAVID A. LEPPLA
serves as the Director of the “All-American”
Marching Band, a position he has held since 1989. He
is only the fourth individual to hold the position in
the band’s 115-year history. Leppla also serves
as the Chair of the Department of University Bands,
and conducts the University Concert Band. He received
his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton,
and his masters and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University,
where he was a member of the OSU Marching Band staff.
Leppla serves as a staff arranger for Band Music Press,
Inc., and is active as an adjudicator and guest conductor.
Prior to coming to Purdue, Leppla was an instrumental
music director in the public and parochial schools of
Ohio for 13 years. |
