Commitment to Academic Excellence

The Athletics Department at Purdue is very proud of the academic performance of our student-athletes. Student-athletes have the opportunity to enroll in one of approximately 200 academic programs in any of Purdue’s 12 academic schools. Our goal in academic support services is to provide the resources for each student-athlete to reach his or her academic potential and to ultimately earn his or her degree from Purdue University.

We are extremely proud that our young men and women have maintained a cumulative grade point average that has been at or above the cumulative grade point for all undergraduate students at Purdue each semester since the fall of 1997. Given the academic challenges of an institution like Purdue, and the unique challenges of being an athlete at the Division I level, this is truly an accomplishment.
