Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each
school year. You can earn certain amounts depending on your level in the
Army ROTC curriculum:
-1st year $300 per month
-2nd year $350 per month
-3rd year $450 per month
-4th year $500 per month
-This allowance is also available to all non-scholarship Cadets enrolled in
the Army ROTC Advanced Course (3rd and 4th year).
Scholarships for High School Students
Four Year Scholarship
The high school Four-Year Scholarship is for high school students
planning on attending a four-year college program. Contact your high school
academic advisor or Campus Military Science department for more information.
To qualify, you must:
-Be a U.S. citizen
-Be between the ages of 17 and 26
-Have a high school CGPA of at least 2.50
-Have a high school diploma or equivalent
-Score minimum of 920 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT
-Meet physical standards
-Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a
Reserve Component -(U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
-The most competitive candidates for an Army ROTC Four-Year Scholarship will
have at least a SAT score of 1100 or an ACT score of 24.
Scholarships for College Students
4 Year National and Adjusted Pool Scholarships
National scholarships and Adjusted Pool scholarships are worth up to $20,000 per year, $1200 annually for books, and $300, $350, $450, and $500 per month for Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors respectively.
3 Year Campus Based Scholarships
3 Year Campus based scholarships are worth up to $20,000 per year, $1200 annually for books, and $300, $350, $450, and $500 per month for Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors respectively.
2 Year Campus Based / Basic Camp Scholarships
If you missed the first two years of Army ROTC, the Two-Year Program offers you the chance to achieve the same goals and benefits of the Four-Year Program. 2 Year Campus based scholarships are worth up to $20,000 per year, $1200 annually for books, and $300, $350, $450, and $500 per month for Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors respectively. Your first step into the Two-Year Program is Basic Camp, a fully paid, six-week training camp, normally attended between the sophomore and junior years of college. After attending, you can win a 2 Year Scholarship at Basic Camp, or compete for one with Purdue. Even if you don't win a scholarship, you can contract and receive the monthly stipend.

Out-of-State Students
Purdue University is proud to have Out-of-State students join the Boiler
Battalion. The Professor of Military Science (PMS) is allowed to give
additional monetary incentives to top performing prospects in the
following categories:
- Nurses: In addition to the 4yr Army ROTC Nurse Scholarship: The PMS
may offer an additional scholarship supplement that can be applied to
room & board for up to the first two years.
- Other majors: If offered the Army ROTC 3 year "Advanced Designee"
scholarship, the PMS may offer a Purdue scholarship supplement to help
offset the costs of the 1st academic year.
The amount of monetary incentive is determined by the Professor of
Military Science at the time of Army ROTC Scholarship offer.
