Welcome Friends

The dedication of the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering marked a giant leap for Purdue’s engineering program. We invite you to watch the accompanying video coverage to learn more about the exciting new opportunities this state-of-the-art facility will bring to Purdue’s engineering students and faculty, and we hope you’ll enjoy hearing some astronaut perspectives on Purdue.

The hall houses the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, School of Materials Engineering, Department of Engineering Education, and several engineering programs, including the Minority Engineering Program, Women in Engineering Program, and Engineering Projects in Community Service, or EPICS.

This new $53.2 million building, hailed as a gateway to engineering research and education, features a 53-foot-high atrium with a hanging replica of the Apollo 1 re-entry vehicle.
