APSAC SubcommitteesCommunications This subcommittee is composed of liaison members from the other four subcommittees, and works with the other APSAC subcommittees to make sure important information is effectively communicated to all A/P staff. Responsibilities include establishing guidelines and specifications for brochures and fliers, defining procedures for Web site maintenance, and assessing the overall effectiveness of communication efforts across subcommittees.
Compensation & Benefits This subcommittee examines current salary structures, health benefits, leave policies, retirement issues, and other compensation and benefits concerns of A/P staff.
Membership & Staff Relations This subcommittee organizes the membership recruitment process, election of its officers, and enhancement of membership function and unity. The Membership Committee establishes communication between A/P staff and APSAC representatives.
Professional Development The Professional Development subcommittee provides financial support via grants awarded twice each academic year to A/P staff on the West Lafayette campus. These grants help A/P staff continue their education through conferences, seminars, workshops, classes, etc. This subcommittee also considers career-related issues including training opportunities and offers free staff professional development forums twice each year. Executive CommitteeThe executive committee is made up of the APSAC Chair, the Vice-Chair, the chair of each of the other five subcommittees, and resource staff members. Other University Committees In addition to those mentioned above, APSAC is represented on a number of other University committees.
