Academic Advisor

  • Teach students about benefits of orientation.
  • Participate in orientation activities for college/department.

Senior Academic Advisor

  • Form and chair committees to evaluate and implement orientation activities.
  • Facilitate orientation activities for college/department.

Assistant/Associate Director

  • Assist director in creating and developing opportunities to better orient students on various study and career options.
  • Develop and lead orientation activities, with support from director.

Director

  • Assess orientation activities and implement changes as necessary to programming.

Academic advisors who teach University credit courses requiring lecture preparation, development of class assignments and testing, and evaluation and grading of numerous student assignments that demonstrate competency in meeting the learning objectives of the course may be paid at a higher salary than an academic advisor without similar scope of teaching responsibilities.
