Placement of Heritage Speakers
These are students who have acquired some oral language skills from home or other sources, but have graduated from a secondary school where the main language of instruction was English.
- Spanish heritage speakers should be enrolled in SPAN 305.
- Chinese heritage speakers should be enrolled in CHNS 107. Refer to the Chinese 107/207 course information and the Chinese placement policies for details.
- All others should be referred to the language chair for proper placement.
