PACADA Welcomes New Members
A dozen new members from a variety of campus areas joined PACADA this year.
From the College of Liberal Arts we have Jocelyn Cavalier, Michelle Mullen and Mona Quinn. From the College of Engineering come Ashley Lauren Brooks, Cindelyn Eberts and Christine Pekny. Dawn Lamb comes from the College of Technology and Elizabeth Stephan joins us from Krannert. Danielle Sheese is from the College of Pharmacy; Tammy Siemers comes from Science and Veronica Rahim is from the Center for Career Opportunities. Jenna Wargo is a graduate student.
Just like the rest of us, our newest members come from a variety of backgrounds and locations. For example, Veronica Rahim (CCO) comes to Purdue from the University of South Carolina where she completed her graduate work and assisted in the career services office. Liz Stephan served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Ball State before she joined Krannert’s advising office. Ashley Lauren Brooks came all the way from the University of California where she worked in their graduate admissions division. Dawn Lamb, on the other hand, came from close by Ivy Tech where she was Assistant Director of Transition. And—Jocelyn came from even closer: graduate school here at Purdue.
Some have lots of experience in advising-type positions while others, such as Jenna Wargo, Danielle Sheese, and Tammy Siemers joined because of a strong interest in advising. But, of course, it comes as no surprise that they all find working with students to be the most enjoyable part of their jobs. Cindy Eberts summed up everyone’s feelings pretty accurately as “a chance to make a difference in students’ lives.”
Welcome, newest members! We are glad you are here!
