Welcome to PACADA!
On behalf of the Purdue Academic Advising Association, I would like to welcome you! PACADA members come from a variety of disciplines across Purdue University, including academic advisors, faculty advisors, scheduling deputies, and other student services professionals. We work together as a team with a common goal of fulfilling the mission and vision of the organization by promoting the quality of academic advising at Purdue University and supporting the professional growth of academic advising and advisors.
PACADA provides an invaluable networking opportunity for members, sharing helpful tips and information each semester regarding curricula changes, course offerings, registration information, and professional development opportunities. Professionals new to Purdue University find PACADA helpful as a chance to meet fellow advisors and learn about the other functional areas of campus by attending Student Services Updates, Spotlight Series, Retreats, and special events sponsored by PACADA. The five standing committees, Campus Affairs, Communication, Membership, Professional Development, and Research and Assessment, work hard each year to bring many of these opportunities to the membership.
If you’re already a member of PACADA, thank you for your continued support and dedication. Your willingness to learn and share with other members continues to enhance the quality of not only the organization, but also the quality and importance of our positions on campus.
