Center for Career Opportunities

The Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) is located in Stewart Center, Room 194. The vision for the Center is to provide effective employment support and outstanding career development services that positively influence life-long career transitions among its students and graduates. The services listed below are available to all Purdue students, undergraduate and graduate, and to alumni, with limited services available to community members:

  • Resume reviews, cover letter critiques, and answers to brief questions, available on a drop-in basis in STEW 194 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Individual career counseling, job search advising, and mock interviews, available by appointment. Please call 494-3981.
  • Online Career Advising resources for undecided students or for students who want to explore the occupational options available to them.
  • Job search and Interview clinics, with online sign-up.
  • Career Resources, a reference collection with information on occupations, job search strategies, academic skill building, and much more.
  • The CCO website contains a wealth of links to information on such topics as recent Purdue bachelor degree salaries, placement, internship and full-time job search information, as well as:
    • Award-winning Online Job Search Videos available for all connection speeds.
    • CCO Campus Recruiting and Job Search Manual with advice on creating a resume and cover letter, interviewing, occupational learning and career exploration. Limited quantities of paper copies are also available at the CCO office in the fall.
    • CCO Express , an Internet-based resume referral and sign-up system that facilitates on-campus interviews. This system enables students to upload and submit resumes, cover letters, and other job search related files, and allows employers to post job descriptions and request resumes. CCO Express also includes access to job listings from employers not planning to visit campus.
    • Information on Career Fairs held at Purdue and in Indianapolis posted for the academic year. Online career fair events, such as the Hire Big 10 Virtual Job Fair, are hosted during selected weeks of the spring semester.
