- Companion course (GS 29000 Algebra and Trig 1 Study Strategies) is offered
- Only a one-line scientific calculator, TI-30XA, is permitted
- ALEKS minimum score of a 30 required for registration
- Not open to students with credit in MA 158
Math 15400 (3 credit hours)
- A trigonometry course taught in large lectures
- Only a one-line scientific calculator, TI-30XA, is permitted
- Not open to students with credit in MA 158
Math 15800 (3 credit hours)
- Pre-calculus preparation for all first-semester calculus courses
- Not available for credit toward graduation in the College of Science
- Algebra portion is more focused on calculus applications
- One-line scientific calculators are not used for quizzes or exams until after exam 1
