Math Courses
Math 15200
- Students should have a working knowledge of basic algebra
- Geared toward students who are not required to complete higher-level math courses
- Includes financial math as part of the syllabus
- Companion course (GS) is offered
- Calculators are not used until after exam 2 (TI-30Xa recommended)
Math 15300
- Slightly more rigorous than MA 15200
- Companion course (GS) is offered
- Only scientific calculators are permitted (TI-30Xa or TI-36 recommended)
Math 15400
- A trigonometry course taught in large lectures
- Prerequisites: MA 15300 or at least a B in Math 15200
- Only scientific calculators are permitted (TI-30Xa required)
Math 15900 (5 credits)
- Combines concepts from MA 1530 and 15400
- Algebra portion is more focused on calculus applications
- Students who did not do well in MA 15300 should NOT be placed in MA 15900
- Calculators are not used until after exam 2
