Most
academic advisors become involved with student recruitment not
only by serving in official recruiting roles but also through
informal, individual contacts with prospective students and
their parents.
Undergraduate
Admissions
For information about admission requirements and for online access to the Purdue
application, go to the Office
of Admissions homepage.
Financial
Aid and Scholarships
Purdue applicants may fill out a preliminary financial
aid estimate worksheet when they file their applications. The Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) enables students
to apply for all aid programs from the federal government,
the students home state, and Purdue University on a single
document. Students should contact the Division
of Financial Aid for complete information. Also see the Financial
Advising page on this Web site.
Purdue
Statistics and Information
The Data
Digest and Enrollment
Management provide all kinds of statistical information
that you may need to answer parents and prospective students questions
about Purdue.
Recruitment
Programs
Each
school assigns one person to the recruiting function. These
people meet regularly as the Purdue Recruitment Council, convened
by the Office of Admissions. Many schools also sponsor "ambassador" programs,
groups of current students who assist with recruiting. Click
here to see a timeline of Office
of Admissions recruitment programs.
Many
schools have Web pages specifically for prospective students
interested in their programs:
Agriculture, Consumer
and Family Science, Education, Engineering, Liberal
Arts, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Undergraduate
Studies Program, Veterinary
Medicine
