Transfer Students

Transfer students should have a copy of their Transfer Credit Evaluation Report. (To access this information electronically, go to SITP and open screen E. Contact the Registrar's Office at 49-41131 for access if it is not available to you.) It is also helpful if transfer students bring course descriptions and catalogs from their other university to their first academic advising meeting.

Review the Transfer Credit Evaluation Report for any provisos. The transfer credit is listed in terms of Purdue courses if it has been accepted by Purdue, but credit marked "und" (undistributed) must be distributed by the academic advisors on behalf of the school or department. Academic advisors may submit a change request form to the Department of Credit Evaluation to request a change in evaluation.

Fall Welcome is an orientation program for transfer students sponsored by Orientation and New Student Programs. The program is free of charge and will be held on the Saturday before classes begin. If you are working with transfer students, please encourage them to register for this program. All transfers will be mailed invitations.

Due to space limitations, freshmen beginners will not be accommodated in this program. It is not designed to be a substitute for BGR. Please do not advise freshmen to register for this Fall Welcome.

Winter Welcome is an orientation program for students starting college in the spring semester.
