Details about Transferring Credit to Purdue
-
Credit evaluation will be completed after the student is admitted.
-
Graduate-level coursework will not transfer to an undergraduate record.
-
Credit is granted only once for duplicated courses. This does not apply to repeatable courses.
-
Credit that is granted for “pass” “satisfactory” or “credit” at institutions that do not stipulate a C- or better grade will not transfer.
-
Only credit transfers. Grades do not.
-
The only way to replace grades taken at Purdue is to retake the course at Purdue (or at one of its regional campuses or IUPUI). Course credit transferred from an institution outside of Purdue (and its regional campuses) does not replace course grades for equivalent courses at Purdue.
-
Effective Fall 1993, only selected pre-approved courses are transferable from Ivy Tech Community College. Courses taken prior to fall 1993 are not transferable.
-
Effective fall 2004, Agriculture and Natural Resources courses from non-land grant institutions will be sent to the College of Agriculture for evaluation. Courses will be loaded at a later date if approved.

Courses taken online or via distance education may have equivalencies that are different than courses taken in the classroom. Contact the Credit Evaluation department in the Office of Admissions if you have questions about how an online course might transfer.
