Lafayette-West Lafayette

Things to Do in West Lafayette

  • Crave a coffee, some tandoori chicken, or the latest CD? You're within walking distance of "the Village," a popular community locale that boasts intimate coffeehouses and international cuisine. Maybe it's gear and goods you're after? You also can find those in the Village.

  • Wander down State Street toward the Wabash River and you'll come to Wabash Landing, home to some of West Lafayette's newest offerings, thanks to a recent expansion. Among the businesses located here are clubs for late-night fun, more coffeehouses and restaurants, a large chain bookstore, and a nine-screen movie theater.

  • Conveniently located near the residence halls is Purdue West, a shopping area that offers a bookstore, supermarket, salons and tanning parlors, ATM machines and other banking services, numerous eateries, and more.

Things to Do in Lafayette
  • Downtown Lafayette is just across the river from the Purdue campus and features a 19th-century limestone courthouse, historic rail depot, artist cooperatives and galleries, antique stores, an old-time ice cream parlor, and cuisine ranging from burgers to sushi.

  • Other Lafayette offerings include museums, cinemas, community theaters, bowling alleys, and numerous venues for shopping and dining.

Visit the Lafayette-West Lafayette Convention & Visitors Bureau Web site.
