I’m involved in: Vice-President of the Queer Student Union; board member of ALLY; brother in a social fraternity
In my spare time, I: Mostly take care of the office for all three above-stated groups, and all of the responsibilities that go with them. I also hang out with friends too much.
Dream job: Criminal Profiler for the Federal Bureau of Investigations
Favorite local restaurant: Nine Irish Brothers - it is also a great pub!
Favorite pig-out food: ICE CREAM!! Any sort!
Most embarrassing moment: The first tour I EVER took by myself let me walk right off of a curb and fall on my butt. They all laughed and thought it was funny. I didn’t.
Most memorable Purdue experience: My first day on campus I had just gotten out of “A” school for the Navy and had to check in to my duty station in Indianapolis. When I got back to campus I didn’t have enough time to change out of my dress uniform before I had to rush over to pick up my PU ID card. So as I was quickly walking through campus, one of the ROTC students snapped immediately to attention and saluted me. In the military, this is ONLY done to officers, and I was just out of boot camp! It was a startling, but interesting experience!Purdue students
When I feel like spoiling myself, I: Go to my favorite coffee shop and buy a coffee. Then either sit there and “people watch,” or get online, or take the coffee to go and go for a walk of campus.
Favorite book: James Patterson’s “1st to Die” series.
Favorite movie: Moulin Rouge, but only because it hits me in the right place at this point in my life.
Acquaintances would be surprised to know: I know all of the songs from RENT by heart.
Favorite cartoon character: Simba from the Lion King.
Funniest Purdue experience: When I tripped and fell on my first tour that I led by myself!
I’m inspired by: My friends, some are great inspirations; others inspire me to NOT follow in their footsteps!
Why I chose Purdue: I choose to attend Purdue not only for the great academic prestige, but the campus life as well. Although Purdue has a rather large student population, you still feel like an individual, not a number.
Best-kept secret about Purdue: I think the best kept secret would be the Reflecting Pool just South of the Bell Tower. Few people actually come here and relax. It is right in the middle of campus, but still gives off a very peaceful and serene aura.
What's playing on my IPod: RENT: “Take Me or Leave Me”
