The First-Year Engineering Program is the entry point for all freshman engineering students at Purdue. The program allows students to ease into college life and get grounded in the fundamentals of engineering through a common first-year curriculum. First-Year Engineering has top-caliber advisors, faculty, and staff who care about student success and can help them choose which of our 15 engineering majors is the best choice for them. Students choose a specific engineering major at the end of their first year, and begin their second year in one of the Engineering professional schools.
