Making the BIG Decision
I chose Purdue because it was close enough to home that if I needed something I could get it, but far enough away to allow me to have a real college experience. Plus, the great sports teams make for really good times on the weekends.

How I Got Involved

  • Alpha Gamma Delta — ritual coordinator
  • Golden Key International Honour Society — VP public relations
  • Phi Beta Kappa
  • Boiler Gold Rush

Residence Hall Life
I lived in Meredith Hall my freshman year, and I absolutely loved the learning community there. It gave me a chance to meet people in my major the second I moved into the hall. I loved that I had people to walk to class with.

Most Memorable Purdue Experience
I was a team leader for Boiler Gold Rush. It was a fantastic leadership experience for me. Not only that, but I had never done some of the traditions that all Purdue students are supposed to do — such as engineering fountain runs and riding the Boilermaker Special — so it was memorable to experience those things with my freshmen.

What the Future Holds
Next year I hope to go to medical school somewhere in Chicago, but we'll see how it goes. I'm not sure which type of medicine I'd like to pursue, but I'm positive that some fields will be more appealing than others once I learn more about them.
