Making the BIG Decision
Purdue allowed me to combine many classes to get the perfect mix for my career goals, since event planning isn't offered as a major. The campus just seemed to fit me well, unlike other schools.
How I Got Involved
- Office of Orientation and New Student Programs — student life advisor
- Boiler Gold Rush — team leader
- Homecoming Parade — project leader
- Purdue Student Union Board — director of Homecoming Committee
Residence Hall Life
I lived in the all-female Windsor Halls. I liked Windsor because it's historic and very attractive. It's fun living with all girls because you can make many friends.
Most Memorable Purdue Experience
Meeting my group of 13 students at the start of Boiler Gold Rush, when I was a BGR team leader. It's rewarding to help a group of freshmen get acquainted with campus and adjust to their new life.
What the Future Holds
I am majoring in communication with an emphasis in public relations and minors in hospitality and tourism management, special events, and English. I am hoping to combine all of these to become a special
events/wedding coordinator. |
