High school seniors with at least a 30 composite ACT or 1340 (CR+M) SAT plus a 3.8 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or a top 5% high school ranking. For qualifying GPA or class rank criteria, Purdue will use final junior year transcripts only. |
Automatic consideration; no application necessary. For students who will apply for fall 2009 enrollment, a complete admission application must be on file in the Office of Admissions by November 15.
Students who meet the November 15 application deadline may submit new test scores from the October or November SAT or ACT test dates for scholarship consideration. New scores must be sent electronically from the testing agency and received by Purdue no later than January 1. |
Non-Indiana residents: $10,000 per year ($40,000 total value)
Indiana residents: $8,000 per year ($32,000 total value) |

Purdue awards up to $3,000 for four years after applying additional federal, state, and institution aid to costs. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA (at Purdue) to remain in the program.

Purdue Opportunity Award scholars are members of a select group of students who participate in an individualized first-year program to support students' needs. This includes seminars, social events, and peer mentors. Option to serve as peer mentors or peer facilitators to new scholars during subsequent years is available.
