Natassia's Journal

Get to Know Natassia

As a first-year Purdue student, Natassia is enjoying meeting new people and making new friends on campus. Her professional goal is to become a top executive for a pharmaceutical company, and after completing the first-year engineering program, she wants to move into the chemical engineering discipline. As a member of Purdue's "Network" Women in Engineering Learning Community, Natassia shares some classes with students in that community and lives in the same residence hall as other community members.

According to Natassia

Purdue is one of the top engineering schools in the country, and I knew that an education here would provide me with the key I need to be a success in my life. I want to enjoy my time here and gain as much from this experience as possible.

Jonathan's Journal

Get to Know Jon

Jon is in Japan this year, taking advantage of a study abroad program at the University of Tsukuba. To his delight, a scholarship through the Freeman-Asia Award Program is helping fund his year abroad. During the program, Jon hopes to become fluent in Japanese, learn more about Japanese culture, discover what he's really capable of, and of course "have a blast."

According to Jon
I came to Purdue because it has a great reputation academically, and the campus is drop-dead gorgeous. When I applied, I had no idea where I wanted to go in life, but I did know that a school of Purdue's size would probably have whatever I eventually decided on.
