An Evening with Dante Basco

Basco is best known for his roles in “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (Prince Zuko), “American Dragon: Jake Long” (Jake Long) and “Hook” (Rufio). He will share experiences from his career in film and television and talk about the importance of diversity in the entertainment industry. Basco will also highlight his new short film “Bangarang” and perform original spoken word.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please follow the Facebook event.

In preparation for Dante’s arrival to campus, the LGBTQ Center will host a screening of the 1999 film, “But I’m a Cheerleader,” where Dante played the character Dolph. This screening and discussion will take place on Monday September 11 in WALC B066 from 3:30-5:30pm. Visit the LGBTQ Center events page for more information.
