    For PurduE-Board there are many planned improvements on the way this summer. It was announced in April, 2008 that sidewalk flyers would be eliminated. A committee that included Purdue students, faculty, and staff worked on a host of more cost-effective and efficient ways to communicate with students regarding campus activities. PurduE-Board will play a key role of assisting this effort in two ways. More

    Purdue Student Government has been working very hard this past year to help students. One way that PSG is going to help students is through the implementation of a textbook website. This website will allow students to look up the textbooks that are needed for a class well before the next semester starts. So if you want to know what textbooks you need for next semester, check out www.purdue.edu/textbooks to find out! A link to textbooks appears permanently within the ACADEMIC category in the left menu of SSINFO as Textbooks.

    Results are in from Purdue’s 2007 Student Importance and Satisfaction Survey. The assessment evaluates effectiveness of services, programs, and events which can be categorized into 14 major categories. There are over 81 areas of improvement from 2004 to 2007. In all cases, student satisfaction is above average, and in most cases, student satisfaction is well above average.

    Scheduling functions move to Enrollment Management
    In a plan approved June 6 by Provost Sally Mason, the responsibility for student registration, class schedule preparation and classroom assignments will transition to the Office of Enrollment Management and assigned to the Office of the Registrar.

    Introducing the inaugural issue of ESAnews, a new electronic newsletter about OnePurdue's Enrollment and Student Affairs (ESA) implementation and Banner, the integrated suite of applications that will constitute the bulk of the new student systems. ESA is the last — and most complex — part of OnePurdue. It will impact the entire faculty and student body, in addition to administrative personnel on all four Purdue campuses. ESAnews is a publication of the ESA Advisory committee.
