09/02-- Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke, in announcing the
university's $1.3 billion fund-raising campaign Friday (9/27), acknowledges William E. Bindley, at right. Also on Friday, Bindley announced a $52.5 million donation to his alma mater, the largest gift from a single individual in Purdue's history. A portion of the money ‹ $7.5 million ‹ will cover half the construction cost for the new Bindley Bioscience Center at Purdue's Discovery Park. The remaining $45 million is a deferred gift to
