06/01-- Purdue entomologist Tim Gibb holds armyworm moths, which have been inundating homes, trees and vegetation in Indiana. Despite their large numbers, Gibb says the moths are not causing harm. Moths are laying eggs, which will hatch in 10 days to two weeks. This second generation of armyworms will have a harder time surviving due to heat, diseases and parasites.
