Virginia Dinkel, Speedway, answers the age-old question, "Will it float?" on Wednesday (Aug. 18) during Purdue Day at the Indiana State Fair. Participants like Dinkel and her husband, Jim (left), designed and built boats out of aluminum foil to see how many pennies the boat could hold. Virginia won the demonstration of density and bouyancy by loading 63 pennies in her boat, 13 more than her husband.
