Shared Folder Permission Review Level Offering

In order to be compliant with various Purdue University auditing policies, the following Shared Folder Permission Review Policy has been implemented:

  1. On an annual basis during 4th quarter, SSTA-WT will initiate an annual "Shared Folder Permissions Review."
     
  2. This review will consist of an SSTA-WT staff member and the Departmental Coordinator reviewing the department's current folder permissions and security group membership settings and determining if any adjustments need to be made.
     
    1. The Departmental Coordinator and the SSTA-WT staff member will each sign a document reflecting that they have reviewed the permissions. This document will be stored by SSTA-WT and a copy provided to the department in order to be made available for audit review requests.
       
    2. To assist Departmental Computing Coordinators in maintaining folder permissions and security group memberships throughout the year, SSTA-WT provides a utility allowing coordinators to view this information in "real-time."
