Introduction
This document outlines the Service Offering that customers of SSTA Workstation Technology (WT) can expect for a supported graphics tablet device.
This unit is for designers and artists to professionally edit photos and create digital artwork.
Scope
This Service Offering covers University employees and business-use equipment as supported by the SSTA Workstation Technology group. Only departmentally purchased graphics tablets will be installed and supported on our supported machines; thus, as with other peripheral devices, graphics tablets purchased with personal funds will not be supported.
Procurement
It is the department’s responsibility to determine the business need of a graphics tablet for individual job functions. Their Departmental Coordinator will obtain all necessary approvals before requesting the purchase. WT will work with the Coordinator to process any paper work needed for the purchase. The department will directly bear the cost of the initial unit purchase and any subsequent charges that may apply.
Installation
At the time of installation, WT will install the appropriate driver software for the device to connect to the workstation.
Training
No training will be provided for the unit.
Support
Other than workstation connectivity, SSTA-WT does not troubleshoot hardware or software issues. The user should contact the vendor or their website for problems.
Other Applications
If additional application software exists for use with the graphics tablet, WT does not provide installation or support for them.
Supported Models:
The current supported e-Pad model is chosen by SSTA with business needs, cost, usability, and reliability in mind. A current list is posted on the WT website. |
