Bill Baitinger assists faculty in cost sharing issues on federal proposals. He also helps faculty and staff with approval for outside activities and conflict of interest questions, especially regarding entrepreneurial activities. In addition, Bill facilitates special competitions such as the Showalter and Purdue Research Foundation (graduate support, summer faculty grants, foreign travel grants) awards. He also helps resolve questions regarding technical and inventions reporting requirements.

Bill has been in his present position for three years and previously was Director of the Office of Technology Commercialization from 1987 – 1998. Prior to that he spent his career in the Chemistry Department at Purdue. He received his BS degree in chemistry from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio and a MS degree from Purdue.
