HRPP Education

Purdue University's Education Policy requires that all research personnel involved in the conduct of human subjects research take education for those research activities. Below are the two required elements of this training. Please refer to the Education Policy for further details.

Required Training

:: Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI)

Researchers involved in the use of human subjects are required to complete the CITI web-based education program in order to be certified as eligible to engage in human subject research at Purdue University. All researchers on an IRB protocol must complete the CITI training before the IRB protocol will be approved. Initial and continuing education (every 5 years) in human subject protections are required.
