CITI Registration and Course Completion

Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI)

To access CITI courses, users must register at the CITI website with a username and password. The username and password are solely for the CITI website and are not related or linked to any usernames or passwords that users have at Purdue University.

Purdue University does not administer your CITI username and password. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, contact CITI for assistance.

As part of the registration process, you will be asked what institution you are affiliated with. Select “Purdue University”.

You will be asked to choose the course and enroll in a Learner Group that is compatible with interests and requirements of Purdue University. Once you have selected a Learner Group, CITI will automatically select the modules you are required to complete. Follow the instructions and links on the Learner’s Menu to begin the course you selected. Use the “Add or update your Learner Group” link on the Learner’s Menu to select or change groups for the Basic Course or any of the optional courses.

Course completion will be automatically registered electronically with the Human Research Protection Program.  You are encouraged to print a copy of your completion certificate and retain it for your records.
