Research Review Newsletters

Take the online Research Review Readership Survey

The Office of the Vice President for Research produces and distributes a newsletter to all faculty, postdoctoral associates, research scientists as well as to administrators who have responsibilities related to sponsored programs. The newsletter, entitled the Research Review, was initiated in March 1988 and is published monthly except for combined July/August and December/January issues.

Each edition of the Research Review contains a monthly listing of the projects that have been funded at Purdue University. Between 100 to 150 awards (resulting from proposals) are made to Purdue each month. The Research Review announces the awards to give recognition to these faculty achievements and to inform readers of the different kinds of research, teaching, and service projects that are conducted at Purdue.

Important announcements such as those regarding changes in federal regulations, developments in federal budget negotiations, upcoming conferences and workshops, modifications of internal procedures, or approaching deadlines for important programs also are included in the newsletter.

Other features of the newsletter are articles on topics related to sponsored programs. Some of the monthly articles are contributed by directors and cover technology transfer, collaborating with industry, and funding for liberal arts.

The rest of the newsletter typically is devoted to in-depth descriptions of important federal or nonfederal programs that may be of interest to Purdue investigators in a number of different disciplines.
