Class Descriptions
Aqua Challenge 45
Grab your swimsuit and check out the Aquatic Center! Class will be held in the diving well; therefore, comfort in deep water is recommended. Utilize the resistance of the water as you increase range of motion, strengthen the cardiovascular system, and condition your muscles. Buoyancy belts (aqua joggers) and aquatic equipment are provided.
Body Sculpting 45/55
Strength training isn’t just for the weight room. This muscle conditioning class is a great way to build strength, stamina, and tone using resistance bands, dumbbells, Resist-a-Balls and more to compliment your exercise regimen.
Cardio Blast 45/55
Looking for an awesome cardio workout? This class is for you! The instructor will lead you through hi-low combos guaranteed to get your heart pumping while moving to the music of your favorite artists.
Cardio Sculpt 45/55
If you’re looking to get a great hi/lo cardio workout with a punch of muscle conditioning in one hour, this is the class for you! This 45/55 minute hi/lo/sculpting combo will guarantee you the workout you’ve been looking for.
Sports Conditioning 45
Whether you play softball, volleyball, football, cheerleading or none at all, this class will help you improve your flexibility, strength, and overall fitness. Functional training, multi-planar movement, and strength training through various drills will guarantee a sweat!
Step-N-Sculpt 45
This basic step class is guaranteed to give you a great cardio workout with a punch of muscle toning at the end to round out your fitness regimen!
Strength Circuit 45
Not for the faint-hearted – circuit stations will improve strength and endurance.
Wild Card
Class format varies depending on instructor’s preference.
Group Exercise Policies
- During the 2008 Summer Schedule, participation in any of the classes is free for DRS members and students enrolled full time for the summer.
- Entry into class is not permitted after the first five minutes of the scheduled start time.
- Equipment will not be available after the start time of class.
- Proper athletic clothing and athletic shoes are required.
- Keep yourself hydrated when exercising. Water bottles are permitted—no other food or drink is allowed.
- Please clean all equipment before and after each use.
- For your health and safety, participation is recommended in no more than one cardio and one strength training class per day.
