Purpose> Developed to
meet Indiana's needs for skilled workers in a rapidly evolving
industrial economy.
The Purdue College of Technology statewide delivery program
enrolls nearly 1,500 students at the following Indiana locations
(Anderson, Muncie, Columbus, Greensburg, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, New Albany, Richmond, and South Bend).
Working with government and industrial
leaders, Purdue's College of Technology develops
programs in local communities where manpower studies indicate
a need for people with such education. Courses leading to
an associate or a bachelor's degree from Purdue are
offered using existing physical facilities of a college
or other educational institution in the area. Purdue faculty
teach the technology courses, and local institutions provide
support courses.
Areas of study> Programs offered include
aeronautical technology, aviation management, computer graphics
technology, computer and information technology, electrical engineering technology,
industrial technology, mechanical engineering technology,
and organizational leadership and supervision.
