| Teaching Assistantship
Opportunities |
| The Oral English Proficiency Program
welcomes applications from Purdue graduate students who would like
to work in our unique program that assists international graduate
students who wish to improve their spoken English skills.
The number of applications the OEPP
receives
each semester generally exceeds the number of assistantships we are
able to offer. We do read every application we receive, and we
keep applications on file for at least 18 months for consideration
for future position openings. We ask our applicants to be
aware of the following:
- We regret we will not be able to
interview every person who submits an application, and we may
not be able to offer a position to every person who is invited
to interview.
- Staffing decisions are usually made
in March for the fall and summer semester, and mid to late October for
the spring semester. However, positions occasionally become
available when our staff's plans change or as enrollment figures
dictate. Therefore, we do keep all applications on hand in
the event we need additional staff. It is wise for
interested applicants to keep in touch with us periodically via
e-mail.
