Purdue University's Latino Cultural Center is now taking applications for its third annual Humanigration: A Border Experience educational trip March 14-20, 2010 to Arizona and the U.S.-Mexico border to examine immigration issues more intimately. The deadline for applications is Nov. 13, 2009. The Humanigration trip was created to immerse participants in the immigrant experience and to develop a perspective on immigration and other issues such as globalization

Tuesday – Nogales, Mexico; visit Humane Borders; stay in squatters’ settlement
Wednesday – Community organizing; volunteer work; community art
Thursday - visit to immigrant lift-off point; walk in the Sonoran Desert
Friday – view Operation Streamline court proceedings; meet Tohono O’odam nation regarding Native American reservation border concerns
Saturday – return flight to Indy
