Embajadores
Description of Positions / Committees

The LCC will be accepting applications for the following positions/committees:

Intra-Group Communications Coordinator: Coordinate distribution of objectives and goals among committees in activities sponsored and supported by the Latino Cultural Center.

Latino Student Council (LSC) member: Attend LSC meetings, representing Embajadores and update both organizations on activities.

Newsletter: Compile, produce, and organize newsletter project and staff.
Working Task Committees: These are established to engage the membership in the work of the organization, to meet the organizations objectives and develop leaders. Intended to fairly distribute work and responsibilities and create ownership over programs such as Día de los Muertos of which all committees have a part in.

Personal & Academic: The responsibilities of this committee are to create and coordinate pre-professional efforts such as resume workshops, Spanish/English conversation classes, assessment & development of student support services and career & academic development. In addition, work together with community outreach & services committee to organize day on campus visits and other high school recruitment activities at Purdue University.

Community Outreach & Services: The responsibilities of this committee are to work with community to organize programs, distribute promotional materials & solicitations, organize logistics for campus visits, and organize group volunteer projects.

Cultural & Recreational: The responsibilities of this committee are to help coordinate cultural programs throughout the school year and sustain ongoing programs such as Día de los Muertos crafts stations & other related activities, movie night, cultural dinners, sporting activities & outings, and social gatherings.

Current Events & Latino Perspectives: Promotes civic consciousness and responsibility through programming events that inform and educate about Latino perspectives on current events.

Public Relations: Creates a quarterly publication for the Latino Cultural Center and promote awareness to programming/events to the Purdue and Greater Lafayette Communities.
